Or, I need to hit the lottery. I’ve been working since about 8:30am today, minus an hour or so break here or there.
Luckily, I’m at a stopping point right now, and glanced at the clock. Looks like I have time to crank out a post. It won’t be great, but it doesn’t have to be. Just need to do one a day.
We had a “special” PizzaNight™ last night. We did it on a Sunday because Dave&Belen are in town – the progenitors of the PN, if you may. That wouldn’t ordinarily call for an off-schedule PN, but there were others in town that were part of the old group, and no longer live here.
It was really nice. A fence was mended, and Mikey and I got to play a game of shot glass chess:
It’s amazing how much our lives have changed since my first PizzaNight on May 9th, 2003 (there’s a blog entry somewhere), and how little it does change.
I think of all the good times I’ve had that I can (and can’t) remember, and the truly good friends I’ve made. I think of the nights that my wife and I have hosted at our house. And I think of the other PNs that are out there, some longer-running, some not.
It makes me grateful. It makes me smile. And it makes me just a little bit hungry.
