Oh, did the St. Anthony Ramblers ever ramble this year. Best yet, I’d say.
Don’t get me wrong, last year was a lot of fun too, but when you aren’t bleeding from both of your hideously scraped palms, the day seems to go by better.
I think my costume finally came around on Sundi or Lundi Gras, I’m not sure. But it was a hell of a find from that little place on Decatur, The Garage.
(not really) Long story short, I was the Security Duck™. And during a brief discussion with the other fellas of the Ramblers, it would appear that Security Duck™ will be a recurring costume/role, basically as the drum major/pace setter. I reckon we should all get together and eat some king cake for initial planning, and whoever gets the baby is that year’s duck.
Anyway, here is the best photo that I know of the duck that day, and links to photos by Anti Em, Beatrix sKiddo, Shancey Pants, and Miss Valentine.
No that’s not some random person yelling at me, that’s Hannah. And no she’s not Photoshop pixelated. That’s her paint sample dress.
Sundi! (chuckle)
I LOVE this picture of you. I am pretty sure I saw you guys actually but it was crowded chaos and I was kinda done w/the quarter by then. too bad we didn’t meet up! I got some photos here from my own collection, in th elink below, plenty of drunk/crappy ones, but near the bottom, I got some wondeful images from orpheus in particular, closeup of sean payton, etc at the end of the parade.
