For those of you who have read House of Leaves, I present unto you Delial:

This picture, which is the one Danielewski described in his book and credited to his character Will Navidson, was taken by Kevin Carter in Sudan.
It won him the Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography in 1994.
He commited suicide a few months after winning.
rason number 9857 why i need to re-read HOL
hrm. i didn’t really like that book. the whole time i was reading it i kept thinking, “the handbook for the recently deceased – this thing reads like stereo instructions.”
i do love that photo though.
mmm, beetlegeuse.
i was reading a review of HoL – they called it “existential horror”
I’ve been wanting to read the book but seemed to not have the time. I picked it up and am only on page 45 but I’m haunted already by it. I’m so drawn I want to hide away and finish the thing. I’ve been looking for proof of this film by Navidson, which, I haven’t found. It’s strange how one book can make a person feel so obsessed. By the way, the picture, it’s freaky.
