Hi. My name is Will, and I’m lost.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had a fair amount of “I’m awake, but can’t really move or think all that clearly” days. Much time was filled re-watching seasons 1 and 2 of The West Wing.

After Season 2, I was introduced to a new crack, administered to me in DVD form by my friendly local pusher, Bea.

LOST.

I’m about halfway through Season 2 – the DVDs live at her house so I don’t just sit around all day, every day, watching the show.

Let’s not concentrate so much on the fact that I’m late to the game, but instead that I showed up at all.

Well, it’s safe to say that last night, I had by far the safest house in the Treme / 1st District. I had about 8 on-duty cops in my living room, watching the LSU game.

Clint came by my house this morning because I had recorded his performance onto my computer. I gave him a nice, high-res copy for his own archiving purposes, and then proceeded to cut and re-size for youtube.

He had not yet had a chance to actually see the performance, and it was an emotional moment for him, standing in my home office. The entire process was a bit rougher than what made it to the tv, but such is to be expected, I assume.

I thought Clint did a good job singing last night, and here it is for your viewing / sharing:

Tonight, my good friend Clint Maedgen of Liquidrone, The New Orleans Bingo! Show, and guest singer for the Preservation Hall Jazz Band (for three years now) will be singing the National Anthem for the BCS Championship game tonight with the aforementioned jazz band.

The game will air at 6:30PM Central time on FOX – so please tune in for at least the song!

Yesterday was, well, nerdly. The bulk of the Late Night Krewe™ (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Big Easy Rollergirls), went on a Turtle-fueled movie binge.

Here’s my day yesterday in a nutshell:
Wake up, have a coffee, have a beer. Drive to Harahan (to Bea’s house). Play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters while snacking on food and drinking beer while watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I, II, III and Ghostbusters I and II. Sleep.

My old co-worker, the Spork™ had a similarly awesome weekend:

me: so yesterday, i watched tmnt 1 – 3, and ghostbusters 1 and 2
me: ouch
spork: i actually got you beat.
me: … and i played tmnt: tournament fighter for SNES
spork: something came over me this weekend and i watch 3 seasons of Buffy.
me: wow
her: watched even. yeah.
me: which three?
her: 1-3.
me: damn

Giant Rings on Pi Day

Somehow, in yesterday’s brief recap, I failed to mention something:

I watched the last SG-1 Episode, ever.
Sad Panda.

I’ve always been into Egyptian Mythology, and I remembered liking the Stargate movie when I first started watching the show, how ever many years ago. Season 10 is complete, and the show no more.

Luckily, there are 2 movies in the works (most likely straight to DVD, but I’ll take what I can get), Stargate: Atlantis, a second spin-off show, and an MMOG in development.

But SG-1 will always be my favorite. And I will always miss my Geek Night™: sitting on the floor/couch of David and Belen’s house, watching Stargate, eating dinner, and working on giant box-less jigsaw puzzles.

Anyways, I had a thought on the identity of the Cheerleader’s real father while in the shower the other day.

I think that her father is Mr. Linderman.
