I’ve been to hell. I spell it …I spell it ‘DMV’
Anyone that’s been there knows precisely what I mean
Stood there and I’ve waited and choked back the urge to scream
And if I had my druthers I’d screw a chimpanzee-call it pointless
- Primus – DMV
Well, /my/ trip this morning to the DMV was a relative breeze. Bea’s adventure, on the other hand, is just beginning.
Yes, those are real. No I am not wearing costumes, although the moustache (that’s with a ‘u’, dammit) is a temporary thing, awesome and amazing as it may be.
Until today, I’ve had the same address on my license since I first got it in ’95 – the address of the family home. Even though I have moved numerous times to different parts of the city, I never saw a real need to change my address.
Over the past few months, I’ve been in the process of moving again, back to 8th ward. This time, it’s probably for good unless I one day return to the 10th ward where my family house is located.
I’ve been putting off this post for months now, trying to be all clever n shit, but all attempts appear to have been in vain. So, here it goes:
Bea and I bought a house in the Marigny. We’ve been doing much renovation work on it, and are in the midst of the finicky process of converting from a house to a home.
Here’s some of the first pics we took, after the sale went through:
Bea has photos up on her flickr from the pre-sale/renovation days, and I started my own set, too.
And in other news, Happy π Approximation Day!
