Baptized in Beer

Last night marked my grand return to hashing. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to do it lately – from the DST switch to Sunday afternoons/evenings, to the busted tailbone, to the busted knee.

It’s been a while.

Anyways, the hash started went a little something like this (errors included):

New Orleans Hash 2008-04-21

This translated to ~4.2 miles. Considering how long I haven’t run and why, I think I did damn well – I even beat a number of people (it’s not a race, but at least I wasn’t DFL (Dead Fucking Last)). And ohsweetmercifulcrap, my legs aren’t even anywhere near sore. That’s goddamnfuckingamazing.

And the bastards finally did it – they named me. So now, when running, please refer to me as Pastor Bait-Her™.

(old draft) ouch.

I don’t remember when this happened, but I still think it’s funny, and wanted to share. Apparently it originally was cycling-related and had a photo, but I’m guessing I didn’t type and/or save that part.

Too bad, so sad.

me: i walked into a fire hydrant yesterday. it hurt. bad.

School, as it turns out, is not out forever.

This past Wednesday marked my second week back at school. Class is only an hour long, and once a week. Plus, there are a few other friends in the class, which I must admit make it better. I haven’t been to school since 2001 (1/2 semester in English), and before that it was ’98.

But I’m not doing this for me – I’m doing this for Bosceaux. Bea and I, Kate and Neptune, and Cookie have enrolled our respective pups ( Bosceaux, Drexel, and Chachere (that’s Sash-er-ee for you non-Louisianians ) into obedience school. I’ve noticed an improvement in Bosceaux already, and have adapted how I handle him.

And how can you resist this? I already know that a certain someone is hatching evil plans to dognap him.

Bosceaux photos will be posted here as they are taken.

One Cell Down

I took the plunge, and ported the # from my Sprint phone to my work BlackBerry. It’ll be nice to only have to (drunkenly) keep track of one phone.

Nothing against Sprint – I’ve been with them for 7 years or so now (thanks Roger), and I’ve been overall pretty happy with them. I did just look at my Feb bill and notice that I was ~200 minutes over equating to over $100 in extra charges (40¢/minute)!

Anyways, if you had my 940 cell #, delete it. I ain’t be havin’ no none more.
