Unn, Too, Fee Times ‘Asplodey.

The results of about 8 miles into what was going to be a 25 mile ride:

1 rear flat. Change tube. Haul ass to catch up.
1 rear blowout.
50 F-bombs dropped.
Patch old tube (with the smaller hole). Use dollar as tire wall patch. Get back on bike.
1 broken chain. Sit down, wait for friends to return. 1 rear blowout.

Fail.

Fee Times Asplodey.

I shit you not, the second blowout happened when I was sitting on the ground, just waiting.

My little sis, all grown up.

On the eve or her 25th birthday (last night), my little sister got engaged to the first boyfriend she had that I actually liked.

Happy birthday and congrats, Court.

¡Viva ze Bool!

So a friend and skater, Archbishop Pummel and her boyfriend have started up something cool.

This July 7th (known this year as Maggiepalooza™), the first ever San Fermin in Nueva Orleans will take place at 8am in the French Quarter – the same day the original Spanish event will be taking place in Pamplona.

I’ll be running. From what I understand, the role of the bulls will be played by (but not limited to) some of the Big Easy Rollergirls.

The event will replicate and pay homage to the world famous Encierro of Pamplona, Spain, aka The Running of the Bulls, only the bulls will be a little different, and we will mostly be speaking in English. The event will “officially” begin at 7am at the Three Legged Dog bar on the corner of Conti Street and Burgundy Street. Spanish wines and good cheer will be available. At 8am the run will begin. The run will end at The Sidebar on the corner of Conti Street and Exchange Alley, wherein more Spanish wines, Sangria, and good cheer will be available. That’s when the party starts, probably right around 8:12am. Multiple DJ’s will be holding down the turntables, and a general block-party will ensue. Runners are required to wear (any kind of) white pants or shorts, a white shirt, and a red piece of cloth around the neck and waist. Women are welcome to run.

So, you should come. It’ll be fun.

Grave Runnin’

Mikey and I went hashing (wiki, noh3) yesterday – in Mid City. It was a ~2.5mi run, from Rock n Bowl, to underneath I-10, across I-10 off ramps, through cemeteries (and over their walls), to an unfinished bar (the Mid City Yacht Club), back to Rock N Bowl.

We did the On-After at the Yacht Club, where (more) drinking was accomplished, where I was awarded this, the FRB (Front Running Bastard) Award, for getting to the bar first:

Yes, it is indeed a 2″ ball trailer hitch. It’s supposed to slow me down. I think I’ll attach it to some sort of necklace, maybe made of chain link.
